The Uptime Infrastructure Monitor agent is a small software package that the Uptime Infrastructure Monitor monitoring station uses to gather performance data from the monitored system. Agentless monitoring is also available for most platforms. For more information on Agentless Monitoring, please refer to Platforms Supported via Agentless Monitoring.
The following tables provide a summary of platforms that are officially supported by the designated agent version. Note that this table is updated at the time of each Uptime Infrastructure Monitor product release. Official support status indicates that the platform and OS has completed full QA testing during the Uptime Infrastructure Monitor release process. Agents can usually be installed on newer (and many older) OS releases but please contact [email protected] for any questions about OS versions not listed on this table.

* Running the RHEL 7.x Uptime Agents requires the 'perl' and 'net-tools' packages. Use the following command to install them:yum install perl
yum install net-tools
To run the Uptime Agent with xinetd, install the xinetd package using the following command:yum install xinetd
Users who do not want to install and use xinetd with RHEL 7.x Agent must start the Agent in daemon mode using the steps in the Knowledge Base article Running the Uptime Infrastructure Monitor agent under Daemon Mode without Xinetd.
