If you have a server with multiple IP addresses serving different applications, you will find that up.time only allows you to create service monitors against the primary IP address (by default).

To monitor services on alternate IP addresses, each IP must be added to up.time as a Virtual Node. This step allows you to generate service monitors against the virtual node element just like a regular agent element.

Note that this approach may have licensing implications. Please refer to your license entitlement or contact your Account Executive for more information.
