Plug-in monitors provide an easy way to:
- Expand Uptime Infrastructure Monitor's standard capabilities: add new service monitors to report on servers, services or other devices.
- Implement special customized solutions: plug-in monitors can provide capabilities beyond those offered by script-based custom monitors and can be fully integrated into the Uptime Infrastructure Monitor UI with defined options that will be used when creating an instance.
- Share resources with the Uptime Infrastructure Monitor community: all plug-in monitors released by Uptime Infrastructure Monitor or developed by Uptime Infrastructure Monitor clients are available on the Grid.
