Linux and UNIX Agents

The Linux and UNIX agents start automatically when they are polled by the monitoring station so they can not be restarted because they are not always running.  If you have enabled the Linux agent daemon, the daemon can be restarted using the pkill -HUP uptmagntd command.

Windows Agent

The Windows agent runs as a Windows service and can be restarted via the Windows Service Management Console.  Restart the up.time Agent as appropriate.

The Windows agent can also be restarted using the Windows Agent Admin Console available under the Uptime Infrastructure Monitor agent Start Menu folder.
