The Uptime Infrastructure Monitor agent is a small, lightweight application that has minimal CPU and memory impact on the target server, typically less than 2%. The hard disk storage requirement for an agent is less than 20 MB.

All UNIX and Linux agents run as a service via (x)inetd, which means they are only executed when polled by the monitoring station. The agent adds no load to the target server between polling cycles as it is not running.

The Windows agent runs actively at all times, typically consumes virtually no CPU resources until polled and utilizes a memory footprint of less than 32 MB.
